Montana Natural History Center

The Montana Natural History Center (MNHC) is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana, dedicated to promoting and cultivating the appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of nature through education.

Established in 1991 by a group of educators passionate about environmental education, MNHC offers a variety of programs and services for all ages, including:

  • Summer camps and children's activities
  • Visiting Naturalist in the Schools program
  • Master Naturalist certification courses and field days
  • Evening programs and lectures
  • Field Notes on Montana Public Radio
  • Museum tours and exhibits

The center features exhibits on Montana's flora, fauna, geology, and ecology, including displays on Glacial Lake Missoula.

MNHC is located at 120 Hickory Street in Missoula and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
